Welcome to the Thoreau Legacy! For those of you who know a thing or two about legacies, let me just tell you now; throw all of that knowledge out of the window. This is not a legacy challenge. Instead, think of this as the continuing saga of the Thoreau family. I do aim to achieve ten generations, there will be an heir each generation, and I will use no money cheats to add to my legacy household funds–my heirs will have to earn everything they get! Other than that, there will be no restrictions. I hope that everyone who finds their way here enjoys the story as my Sims tell it to me.
Not just legacy family members will have their stories told. I may frequently decide to pick up a friend or family member of a spouse as a secondary plot line. This serves a couple of purposes. On one hand, it allows me to take a break from my main family while also keeping the story evolving. It also lets me flesh out a character that, otherwise, would remain just supporting cast. And also, it’s just such fun to find out more about the Sims in the world you’re part of for as long as you’re reading this.

Enjoy reading and happy simming!

What mod do you use that gives the realistic ageing? I would like it in my game but I don’t want to download something outdated?

I don’t use one. I turn aging off and age them up when I need to. 🙂

Oh. OK. I’ll try that.

I have a very detailed outline where I list the month and year of each chapter. So I can keep track of how old all my sims are supposed to be.

Hey love the Thoreau legacy so much! Just a lil suggestion with so many people in the confusing family it would be nice to have a family tree to see who’s related to who.
